Chin & Orr Lawyers was founded in 1994 by Peter Chin and Susan Orr wanting to provide legal services to clients on a more personal level. At the same time, they wanted to help clients understand their legal situation and provide them with professional counsel that they could trust.

Over the years, we’ve managed to build a team of unique professionals with a collective experience approaching 100 years!

While modern technology has significantly changed the way we work, our goals have remained the same throughout the years. Even today, the most enjoyable part of our job is working with our clients, guiding them with the best possible legal advice, and finding a solution to their unique legal issue.

We love the work that we do because it gives us an opportunity to make others happy. Similarly, by being straightforward with our clients, we provide them with the confidence to make very important decisions.

When it comes to assisting our clients, our goal is to treat them the way we want to be treated, with honesty and fairness. We also offer our clients our services for a fair fee so that they can affordably acquire the assistance they need. By staying true to these values and not discriminating between big and small clients, we have managed to build a successful law firm.

Our success is measured by our clients’ satisfaction. From seeing happy clients when a real estate transaction closes or a will is completed to making new law by running a trial after five years of hard work and getting a successful decision upheld at the Court of Appeal, it is our clients’ satisfaction that is important to us.

When we’re not at work, our team has a diverse set of interests from admiring nature, sports, cinema, aviation, boating, and fishing. Despite these varied hobbies, we still have one thing in common: we care about people.

On account of this shared interest, we regularly get together to raise and donate money for charities, volunteer at the local food bank, hold bake sales, give out education bursaries, and support local sports.

We have enjoyed sharing our story about the things which matter to us and how they influence the way we do business.
